Fast Fact
London – The New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers have both arrived to Wembley Stadium. The current weather is cool (roughly 55 degrees) with occasional light rain followed by periods of clearing. Wembley Stadium, which seats 83,000, will be full today. There are many Saints logos and flags throughout the massive stadium and each seat has a black Saints towel for the fans that will soon be allowed into the stadium.
In a roster move for the Saints, the team has waived WR Terrance Copper and activated G Jamar Nesbit from reserve/suspended list.
Key Play
Saints K Taylor Mehlhaff opened the scoring with a 23-yard field goal and a 3-0 New Orleans lead.
Nate Kaeding answered with a 33-yard field goal to tie the score at 3-3.
A 12-yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees to Devery Henderson made the score 9-3. Mehlhaff's extra point hit the left upright and was no good.
Deuce McAllister ran over the left side for a 1-yard TD to extend the New Orleans lead to 16-3.
LaDainian Tomlinson cut the score to 16-10 on a 12-yard touchdown reception from Philip Rivers.
Brees lofted a perfect 30-yard TD pass to Lance Moore, making the Saints lead 23-10.
Rivers found TE Antonio Gates for a 12-yard TD pass to narrow the margin to 23-17.
Mark Campbell caught a 1-yard TD throw from Brees to make the score 30-17 early in the 3rd quarter.
Kaeding's 24-yard field goal made it a 10-point game at 30-20.
FB Mike Karney ran for a 1-yard TD and a 37-20 Saints lead.
A 31-yard Kaeding field goal cut the Saints advantage to 37-23.
Rivers threw a 14-yard TD pass to a diving Vincent Jackson to trim the lead to 37-30.
Brees ran through the end zone for a safety to make the score 37-32.
